I have the Madstad. 20” clear. I’m 71 inches and the shield is about middle of the adjustable range. Far better than stock which was so bad I took the windscreen off after about 50 miles. I’ve only ridden about 100 miles or so with the Madstad but it’s well worth the experiment. 30 day trail period.

Like very much :) Solid build and finely finished... Like how it extends well past the footpeg (centre stand) lugs to reduce the catch / hook up point.

It’s only plastic after all :)

What gets me is how RG arrived at the end product with it being quite wrong in so far as it creates such obnoxious buffeting?
I mean, I’m the most typical 95% percentile... + Arai XD4... How come the standard RG screen is so dynamically poor?
Don’t think I’ve seen / heard any reports saying ‘my god, this screen is perfect’... :becca

Another thing I like about my BDCW skid plate is that I only have to remove the bottom part to change oil.

It´s true what you say. The screen looks great but RG´s claim for what it does as regards buffeting is complete bull... but, hey, if you can´t waste hard earned cash on useless shit for your bike , what can you waste it on.. :rofl

Just drilled some holes at the base of my R windshield like the 990 guys used to do to see if it would help. Will go for a ride tomorrow and see if it helps.

As you wish! So, I went for a ride and tried it in the low and high position. In the high position, it felt like the buffeting was unchanged. In the low position, I did feel like there was less buffeting with the holes. It still wasn’t as good as no screen at all though. As soon as I drilled the two holes, I immediately thought it would have been better with two smaller holes along the bottom of both sides for a total of four holes. So, I’m going to drill two smaller holes along the bottom just outboard of the existing holes and try that. I’ll also bring some duct tape and experiment with resizing the holes.
