These are the only tubeless versions of the desert ht tires. 90/90/21 and 150/70/18. The rims are 21 x 1.85 and 18 x 2.5

Thank you. And sorry if I missed it when you may have posted it earlier, but do you have the Excel rim codes? I'd like to look these up online, and sort out costs etc.

The reason I went with the 48 instead of the 15 is wear on the chain pad near the counter shaft sprocket.
I agree about the tkc 80 up front. I had a flat on my 1290 SAR @ 60 MPH in Baja last year. Scariest shit ever on a bike. I will NEVER have a tkc 80 on the front of any bike agian.

Spotted this video while just beginning to take a better look into the tractionator Desert H/T tires. What caught my eye was the fact that they come in tubeless sizes for the larger adventure bikes (as @06Z pointed out). The guy in the video says they fit the KTM 1190, but I can't find the OEM widths on that bike so I'm not sure yet if these would fit our 790 OEM rims. If they would it would be a great way to get into an improved tire without immediately busting the bank on narrower wheels.

What do you guys think> Would they fit our 790's?

[Art] just wanted to say thanks for what you've contributed to the community for this bike! Between designing and sharing for free your GPS mount and maintaining the FAQ, you've done an awesome job helping new and prospective owners.

I organized printing your GPS design on Thingyverse today. Super easy to do folks, even allows you to choose local printers easily. I'd encourage you to include a tip to [Art] to thank him when you check out, still ends up way cheaper than a commercial option... and you'll get it quicker seeing as no one has stock.

Rocky Mountain ATV says the OEM sizes for the 2016 1190 Adventure R are 150/70-18 and 90/90-21, and for the 2019 790 Adventure R they are 120/90-18 and 90/90-21. So the front fits for sure.

    The 790 comes with a 150/70-18 rear.

Perhaps I'm just a basic bitch but I don't understand why there's a big discussion on 790 tire choice and why it would be any different than, say, what I run on my 990? It's more riding style & terrain than the moto. Right?

Besides, all the nanny traction modes will make you a superstar anyway :D

Hi - I changed the tyres on my 790 R at the first service for Michelin Annakee Adventure as I mostly use it on the road. Was seeing the TC light a lot in wet and dry with the Karoo but haven’t seen it yet in 200 miles of heavy rain here in the highlands of Scotland. V pleased so far.

I put an S seat on my R to see and my feet were actually slightly farther from the ground due to wider and harder S seat even on low setting. The specs say the R one is higher but it is really soft so you sink down more.

Unfortunately no ETA at the moment. We're up in Alaska for D2D but we'll be hard at work on these when we get back!

Thank you again for managing the faq and issues docs. They were invaluable to me this weekend picking up mine, walking the mechanic through important checks. My shifter bolts were dry but everything else checked out ok.

    990 takes a narrower rear tire (140) than the 790R, 1090 and 1290 (150) if I recall correctly.

I'm considering the Anakee Wild. Can't afford new rims this year.
