No humor with wet socks and still not enough of it with wet gloves :)

Thanks for the tip. I generally prefer not to replace non-broken parts, it just seems excessive. Just in case however: would you recommend a brand?

Add me to the list of warped front rotor victims. I have 4,300 miles on the bike. The rotors have been noticeably warped for a while, not sure when it started. I don't have a lot of confidence in either of my two local KTM dealers so I've been putting off taking it in but I leave for the TAT next week and figured now is the time.

Long story short, the dealer confirmed the problem, called KTM and was told that if the bike had more than 600 miles on it, no warranty. I was anticipating not being covered because of my mileage but I thought 600 was an awfully low threshold.

I needed to replace the mirrors since one broke when the bike spontaneously took a nap. I replaced them with Doubletake mirrors. I'm very satisfied with the upgrade.

The ends or the center? I may have a shot of the center in my archives if no one pops one up soon. It attaches the the black support frame for the skidplate.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Only takes about 10 minutes to file a complaint. KTM knows its a problem and is refusing to fix it. It will need a recall.

My UK dealer replaced my front rotors twice under warranty. I was at maybe 1,500 miles when I took it in the first time. New rotors, new brake pads.

I set off for a trip to Morocco in January and was halfway through Spain when it started again, so I emailed the dealer and carried on. Got back in March and the dealer found that the bolts on the wheel were slightly out of alignment with the rotors, thus when the rotor heated up, the bolts pulled it into a warped position. So I ended up with a new front wheel, new rotors and another set of new brake pads.

KTM clearly has a fault with the front wheels with the number of people reporting warped discs at low km's/miles.

I suggest people start reporting the issue to your local consumer body if you get turned away by KTM. On here and on the Facebook groups you can find enough posts to support your case of a manufacturing defect. Your Consumer guarantees / rights supersede any manufacturing warranty regardless of what KTM may tell you. Warped discs reduces breaking ability and impacts safety with the front end bouncing up and down as you come to a stop upsetting balance, government vehicle agencies take breaking issues seriously and have the power to force KTM to resolve the issue, KTM obviously have no interest fixing the high number of discs warping, even worse warping repeatedly.

Any reputable KTM dealer needs to check the HUB...i cannot believe this thread continues ...
As an update I am on 1,000 miles with the new HUB and braketech Rotors, excellent off road modulation and on road stopping power..
