The tanks are Pete's limited edition unicorn rally tanks
Im guessing petes limited edition unicorn rally tanks are made of unobtanium
as much as i like his tanks, there were another set produced that you could keep the factory dual exhaust,,,, THOSE are the ones i want.
Where do we find these then?
wish i knew
None of them have been available for many years.
The only option currently available that I know of, is the Landmark works rear tanks.
They are works of art but pose serious limitations
Course, then one would need a completely different exhaust, and tune for that, then bash plate.
And finally figure out luggage. Or a spot to park it in the living room since nobody would be silly enough to ride something that beautiful.
You did custom paint right?
Why do I want that? Man that set up looks great. I'd have to hire some strong person to ride along with me to pick it up when I drop it.
The tanks he was referencing we one-offs by someone in Australia I think.
there was a canadian guy who was offering them for sale,,,, hideous and i didnt like them.
the ones i want to find might have come out of Italy, they looked good because they followed the lines of the rear subframe, like a cross between the landmark tanks or Petes tanks both pic'd above.
i cant seem to find them in a google search.
The one LC8TY has were aussie made by Pete and he made quite a few but hasnt made any for a decade I reckon.
Thats why I said "pose serious limitations"
Pete is a bad man!..
Nah, really he’s a diamond and an extraordinary maker... Last comms I had he was slowly working on MK3 rear tanks... Perhaps his life has taken a different path for now as we rarely see him post here.
