So how and when did you get the blue safaris? There’s gotta be only like 5 sets of blues in existence (just a guess). I contacted Safari AU about three years ago specifically about getting a set of blue ones made for myself. He said that it wouldn’t be a problem to do that. I ended of getting spare OEM blue tanks for my bike so that I could really beat on it (I put my nice blue tanks up on the shelf), so I never went any further with going after the Safaris. But now you kinda have got me thinking about them again.

Got them about half a year ago.

The approach was similar to yours: I reached out to Safari AU about the blue tanks. They said they could make me a set and I took them up on that offer.
Took a few weeks for manufacturing (which they mentioned upfront) and a couple days for shipping. As far as I remember it wasn't any more expensive than buying a (non-blue) version from a vendor in the US (but that likely depends on the exchange rate).

Sort of a bump for a cross thread here since blue Safari tanks are so rarely talked about. Maybe @Blonski has drummed up some more interest with his tanks? They do look to be a darker blue than the one in the thread below.

The tanks look darker on my pic than they actually are. Color is similar to the pics in the other thread...
