IMG_20200626_110859.jpg My 950 next to a good friend's 990. Visited for a while so he stayed at my place, almost every night we'd sit outside with a mug of coffee in our hands and talk about future rides, what extras we'd be adding to our steeds and just sit there and stare at these two iron horses and say "what beautiful machines" he's as obsessed over a KTM 9x0 as I am!

Sorry about your bike. Hopefully you didn't get too banged up in the process! My buddies and i did the WABDR South to North a couple weeks ago. My biggest fear the whole time for us was exactly that....oncoming yuppie's in SUVs.

Since I moved to Utah where side x sides and UTVs are street legal, I've had a ton of close calls with idiots driving them on two tracks and dirt roads. Nobody stays to the right, everyone thinks they're the only ones enjoying the backcountry.

Though i hate seeing people get hurt, I unsecretly love watching SxS videos where they crash hard enough to total them out. Even one less jungle gym doom and gloom buggy out there makes for a much safer place for multiple motorcycle trail riders.

my leg was bruised pretty good. overall pretty lucky! petcock destroyed, tanks cracked, plastic messed up etc
the bdr routes seem to be pretty well known by the general public at this point. pretty dangerous out there.

Yes, they have been a great addition to the bike but will be removed soon.
Fuel is eating its way between the glass and gelcoat around the filler caps and leaking bad.

I can't recall what or if I contributed here, but here are a couple from some rides on the bike I call Lucifer. The 990 is my favorite bike of all those I've owned despite not putting as many miles on as other bikes.

Thanks to everyone for sharing- it motivates and excites me to see all the fun!

Longtallsally: give us the locations of the pics. I want to see if I got a few of the location guesses correct.
