just bought some safari tanks. I used to get about 50-60km’s on reserve on my old factory tanks. Does anyone know if the reserve range on the 990 safari tanks is about the same or slightly larger due to the fatter tank shape? Cheers...

It’s definitely larger but I don’t know exactly. From memory I’ve got 80km out of it once but my consumption varies a huge amount with conditions.

73 km and took 41 L to fill....had a slight miscalculation on distance and last 150km was fairly sedate...only so I didn’t have to use my 10L bladder 12B38C38-D95C-45A0-AEA6-9BD030614980.jpeg 30570CD8-1218-40C1-885C-B833B32878B8.jpeg

Cheers guys. Reason I ask is I’ve just bought the bike and I will be commuting to work each day and it’s a 65km round trip. Just wanted to make sure that no matter when the low fuel light came on, I can complete the trip and get home for the day. Sounds like I’ll have it covered

Yep 80 miles (128 k. ) for me also . My old black Tanks with 200,000 k's have taken 44 liters and are a mofo
to re install after service .

Most stickers will bubble and peal off very quickly . Paint also .
