New Kuryakyn Premier Affordable Throttle Assist 6218. Bought and never used. I've had throttle locks like this on three other bikes and I love them. I've decided to go a different route on my current bike. FYI, I usually have to trim the rubber flange on the grip for this to fit over. $20 net to me via Paypal. Includes shipping within the US from La Verne, CA.

It looks like this should fit my F650 GS with 7/8 handlebars... do you concur ?

What year? My wife has a 2010 that I can see how it looks tomorrow. The reach from the bar to the grip around the switches can be an issue on some bikes but there can often a work around.

Its an ‘06. Not the same series but should be similar. I’ll check on the specs in a bit to see if they match up.
    Thanks

I can't say for certain it would work. Any pictures I find with the right hand switch gear don't tell me enough to say for sure. This kit is meant to be as universal as possible and come with enough parts to adapt it to different reaches to the throttle or accommodate variations in bar and throttle diameter. If I were trying to add a throttle lock to an F650GS single, this is the kit I'd try. I like how they work with just a flick of my thumb. But I can't guarantee it'll work without at least some fiddling. The bar clamp will work with the 7/8" bar. The reach from the bar to the grip and what switches might be in the way might be an issue. But I've usually been able to align it so it's not in the way of switches. The ring that mounts on the throttle does take up a little real estate but it's not been anything I haven't been able to get use to on the three other bikes I've used kits like this on. I've had to trim the grip hilt down to help get the throttle ring as far to the left as possible though.

Thanks for your input. My only concern would be fiddling with the grips at all as they're factory heated and work well. That and I don’t know how I feel about giving up any of my throttle hand space. So I’m gonna pass. Thanks for your due diligence.
