    General status:
about 4 days ahead of schedule. This was due to great weather in the Mid-West.

    Health is good.

DR is good. Front bridgstone tyre that came with her has about 1,000 more miles. Current miles on DR is 9,500.
Rear tyre is a Shinho 705 and has about 2,000+ miles and is doing well.

So, I'm looking to take it slow and easy for a good while. Maybe 100 mile days, but again, weather and road conditions will determine this.

    21st Wed
Trip planning and staying off the DR all day.

    22nd Th
Ride to the Devils tower monument.
Top off fuel in Hulett, then ride to New Haven (unless New Haven as a gas station) via the 105. Then ride to Rockypoint
Then take Trail Creek Road to highway 59
take a right on Elk Creek road, then make my way to the town of Recluse.
Get on highway 14 and 16 and ride west to Ucross, then north to Sheridan.
That is 165 miles, so that is damn near perfect distance.
fine motel or stealth camp near by.

    23rd. Friday.
I would like to take the 14A over Bald Mtn. The road is not showing any negative conditions.
Ride to Powell and get my bearings.

    I have two options here.
    1.
    Go for Bear Tooth highway
    via
ride up the 294 and then head to Red Lodge, MT. 180 mile day, so rest in Red Lodge, MT.

the next day ride south on the 212 and Engage the Beartooth Mountain Highway. (not sure on road conditions)

    2. push on to Cody, and rest for the evening. From Sheridan to Cody is about 155 miles or so.

    24th. sat
the conservative approach woud be to just ride to cody. I'll be riding in southern MT in early Mid July any ways, so I could pick it up then.
But, I would like ride this before the peak tourist season in early July.

So ride into Yellowstone via the 16 and 20, 14, then ride around to Gardiner and let the Memerial day weekend tourist crowd settle down in the Nati Park. That should be a 160 mile day at least.
Looks like Dunraven pass is being plowed as I type.

    25th Sunday.
Hopfeully have a rest day or something, maybe back track down to West Yellowstone and look at the some of the northern parts of the Park (Obsidian Cliff/ Norris Geyser Basin Museum/Museum of the Nati Park Ranger).

    26th. MOnday
As the bulk of the tourist pack up their gear and leave the park, I'll ride in and see old Faithfull and tour my way to Jackson.

I forgot to type that if anyone had any good MC shops along northern WY, please let me know.

I could go ahead and get a new front tyre and oil change.

    Thanks again.

Yellowstone Sunday, Monday, and ride down the Moose Wilson Rd if she is opened and into Wilson via the 390 on Tuesday.

On Wednesday or so go to Idaho Falls via the Teton Pass Highway, then some other back roads (BPA RD), and Pine Creek Rd (the 31) for a new front tyre and oil change. I went to the eastern Idaho thread and got the hook up with the quickness. :clap

Next day would be going to the Moon Monument, then work my way to the Sun Valley.

    __
I also plan on having less than 200 mile days for a while.

I want to go check out the town of Portland.

I will head east to Hells canyon afterwards.

Is the town of Bend worth visiting?

It would save me a day of travel if I skipped her.

If you like beer, vistas, and a great down town to chill in, don't miss Bend. there are fires raging in that area though, so plan accordingly. Hells Canyon is pretty awesom.

    Today.
    Ride towards Portland.
She is 117 miles away. So I could stage tonight on the out skirts for a urban assault the next morning.

    Tomorrow ride into Portland.

Push East in the evening and camp outside of town.
Make committed route for Hells canyon.

I am on day 31. I grossly underestimated my milage. I will need to plan a 15,000 mile service maybe in Michigan. I had planned to make it back to VA. I am at 12,000 now and started with 7400 miles. So I will be about 1800 miles short of 15,000.

    12th-17th
    Begin ride toward Wallowa Valley
Not sure of direct routes. whatever happens. But will come up from Oxbow Dam. 100 mile days. Will stay sort of North.
So I will go to Bend if the fires are under control.

    18th.
Be in Enterprise to hang out with early arrivals for the Jamboree. Get good spot to camp. Help set things up.

    19th-22nd.
    Hang out at the Jamboree.

    23rd.
Depart North by Northeast toward Lolo pass Idaho. Will to burn out 200 mile days from there on out. I need to beat the tourist to Glacier natural Park.

This should work out well. I hope to be in Glacier Nati Park before the 4th of July which is a Friday.
