Just sent Travis fed and clean on his way after hosting him here in Portland. Hoping he had a good time exploring Portland on foot for a change, and doesn't get too wet with today's forecast. If you get a chance to host him for a night he's a great guy with some good stories.

Good luck Travis, see ya next week at the Wallowa Jamboree!

Decided to stay one more night in Enterprise.

So, Monday will try and ride dirt toward Troy, OR, then take the 129 to Lewiston.

Will push past and get in position for Lolo pass or Magruder Corridor depending upon how things are going.

Then to Missoula. Should be there by Friday at the latest.
    Then toward Glacier National Park.

Next estimated oil change and service will be in Fargo. If anyone knows a good garage, please let me know.

    Location. Lolo, MT.

Today. Link up with an inmate and go rob some Graves in Missoula . :D

Tomorrow, push toward the Park. Will ride as close as possible for a Friday morning assault. Plenty of national forest camping along the way.

Maybe they will have the road ready in 48 hours. :lol3
I will try and take the tourist shuttle along the highway to the Sun, then come back and do it again on the DR.
I may just camp out for a week in the National Forest and wait... :eek1

Will leave from the N. W. exit and go through Blackfoot Indian country before riding toward the capital.

    Any forest road route suggestions?

    -------
After Enterprise, I road to Elk City and checked with the very friendly forest service folk. Still lots of snow at Magruder Corridor. I road up myself. Great forest road, and maybe two feet of slushy snow at the 12 mile mark. I walked up the road a tenth of a mile and things did not improve, and it kept going up.

I back tracked to Elk City and got some guy on the ground Intell from two Canucks, who just came from Lowell. They rode a 2013 KLR and a lowered DR650
So I took the 443, and had a great ride!

Hang out in Missoula for the day. Walk a bunch.

Looks like the assault on Glacier National Park will begin with a seige.
I will wait out the snow removal from the high way to the Sun.

I don't live in the UP Travis. I am down by Lansing. I was looking for a little lead time if you were coming. And come down the West coast of the Lower Peninsula of MI as it is much prettier than the East side. Take M-22 as it has some great Lk. MI views around Arcadia and is more hilly and winding terrain.

Ride with an inmate to Glacier National Park.

He has a single wheel trailer that his 2006 KLR towes.
He will try and bicycle much of the area not plowed.

I will try and hike some or take the shuttle as far as I can.

Essentially, wait out this year's snow on the Highway to the Sun.

On the 30th: ride to Hungry Horse 38 miles from Kila. Get a feel for the area, meet some new people, and camp outside the town in the National Forest.

Hopefully the road will open before Friday.

If another snow comes in during the week, I'll abandon the siege.

Highway 2 will get me across the contential divide.

I may stop early for a oil and rear tyre change in Bozeman or Billings.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a good garage in either of these towns?

I should be good on tail mix until WI!

I decided to ride north of Bozeman and Billings.
I will take the 12 to go east.

I can geg to Fargo on my rear tyre.

With that typed, does anyone know a good privately owned garage in Fargo or west of there?
