Thanks Joel. I’d never seen or heard of these guys. I really missed a lot of good (and bad) stuff in the 5 years that I didn’t ride or look at advrider.

2 of the Oso Loco both from Canada, Radek and Licas competed here. Radek finished 2nd. He's also a tough competitor at Jimmy Lewis' King of the Motos.

for over 3 months, the AT sat in the garage. the poor girl (her name btw is Ms. Kitamura) didn't get any love while i was gone. front tire was 10 psi, while the rear with the outex tubeless conversion managed to hold air with a small leak. amazing product, for 6 months, it lost only about 12 psi. inflated the tires and checked the suspension, sag and preload. since i lost about 18 lbs in body weight, the suspension was a little stiff. got rid of the preload but the rider sag is still not enough. for now, i just soften up both compression and rebound. we'll see after the holidays if gain weight before i address the suspension. oil is good and Kitamura is ready.

just a mile from my house while on a city street, a female driver didn't see me and cut me off, missed me by a few inches. damn, i better be careful and so i moved to the slow lane. in less than 5 minutes, a young male driver swerved to my lane and almost hit me. at this point, i just want to turn around and go home. anyway, i continued on. i think a loud muffler will be on my shopping list.

made it to Oro Vista off Sunland Blvd, and took Big T to AFH in order to get on the Crest. i know it's Friday but i didn't see more than 3 vehicles when i got to this spot.

someone asked me how did i get up here. my reply was the usual way. she told me that they were forced to take a 100 mile detour earlier and she was wondering what's going on down below.


here what it was. Porsche was doing a photo shoot of their new electric car on AFT and Upper Big T. you can spot the CHP on the middle of the road.



apparently the closed the highway going up and down. the CHP told me it will only take another 10 minutes and they're done

it was a good day of riding. did 100 miles, with no traffic which means relax and fast. great way to enjoy my Sabbatical.

Last weekend it was still closed...

i didn't take La Canada, but i assume it's still closed. the lady at newks was saying there wan no way they could get there but take Mt. Emma.

Yesterday was open from La Canada to Wrightwood. Lots of traffic. What a zoo at Newks, almost got parked in during breakfast. Like a Moto GP pit, mixed with a HOG gathering.
