I have been riding my XR650L, but Isabell Swamp Road is as close as I get to Bush.
Well the family lives by the fire
station just south of it... So it was probably you...
Weather is great! Tomorrow I’ll be out doing my part for social distancing in Desoto NF!
I am just in from a 100 mile solo ride in beautiful Saint Tammany and Washington parishes.
The roads are still good, but are starting to get dusty.
I rode the Camp Livingston Multi-use trails Little Creek trail today. A hair over 22 miles of trail. Came home a muddy mess.
Passing along info on Dual Sport event:
April 25 / 26
Great club, I’ve been there for enduro races, great area to ride.
Something to consider (if we’re still alive by then)
Arkansas 500 postponed until May 14-17.
Well there you go Bob, now you can ride both of these -
Where is that? Thanks.
Just east of Ball, Louisiana in the Kisatchie National Forest at the old Camp Livingston training site from WWII.
A big shout out to Bob.
Thanks for the mud. It'd been too long.
I had a good ride too.
I guess I should give my bike a bath, but so far all it got was the big hunks of mud hose off.
I am on the hunt for a couple things... My 10 y/o nephew is looking for a pit bike for yard use and light trails and he want's to buy it himself... Second for myself I would love to find an inexpensive beater DS in the $2k range I have some things that go boom for partial trade if so desired. Any leads would be appreciated.
Are there no KTM dealers left in Louisiana?
Not that I know of.

It really sucks. I have to trailer my 1290 SA all the way to KTM of North Texas in Arlington for service. They do fantastic work but I have to take it one weekend and go back the next weekend to pick it up. The lack of any local dealers will keep me from buying another KTM.
Hey, just rebuilt my DR motor and getting a LOUD knocking. Is there anyone in the Gonzales area that would be willing to swing by and take a listen. Would hate to tear down the motor yet again (3rd time) to try to figure it out without knowing to look for. Any help is appreciated.
A tap or click is one thing,,,,a knock is bad, a LOUD knock is very bad. I think you know what you need to do.
So I pulled the head gain to check for signs of damage and there was none. Also reset the timing and all was good. Waited a few hours for the rtv to set, fired her up, and same result. I’m stumped. I recruited some help to take a listen tomorrow and hope we can figure it out.
If you don't have a mechanic stethoscope buy one to help pin point where the noise is coming from.
