LAB2V (LA to Barstow to Vegas)?

    For folks who have done this ride before, do you think a "fat guy on a little bike" (aka me on my CRF250L) would be able to do this ride?

    I'm also a sand hater, but have heard conflicting reports....."there's no way around the sand", and "you can route around most of the sand and stick to the easy routes as needed".

    I haven't gone in years, but was a regular '86 or so until mid-'90s.

    No sweat on your Honda. Just sign up and have a good time. If there are sandy areas just use them for learning, you'll figure it out.

    I was probably one of the first to ride an "adventure bike" on the LA-B-V, on an R80GS-PD in 88. Here it is in '89 at Vegas hotel. Fork seals blown. R80GS PD.jpeg

    no probs at all. gear the CRF down a little, add some knobbies and have a blast
