fish fry at the beach house?
I am tentatively planning to head over to the Emerald Isle to join you on Labor Day Weekend. A close friend unfortunately had to take up residence in the hospital last year and I really need to visit him again. And since I survived spending a few, FUN days with ADV riders at D2D, I'm sure I can survive a couple days with the crusty and (if I read the postings correctly) possibly gay Coasties in Kodiak. Should I bring something pink to wear while riding with you guys?
I'm not much for pink. But, I can help you practice for next year's D2D "weenie bite" contest...
Fixed for accuracy.
Gee, why would you think that?
Oh, BTW, confirmed here, http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8585673&postcount=55 , this is the 'Buskin Beach House' that they have reserved.
yup, thats the one
:huhYa know, I'm less and less inclined to come play w/ you guys!
Thanks for the generous offer to help me practic for the "weenie bite" contest. Can I wear sharpened dracula fangs?
I kind of like the pink panties and I have fishnet nylons, but that's definitely not appropriate riding gear. I think I'll pass on wearing attire similar to yours and be boring and wear my regular gear to increase my safety. Are you wearing high heels? If not, wearing heels would definitely make your calves look a bit more attractive and you might not have to wear the panties advertising what you love... OMG - is it safe for an unescorted female to visit your Beach House?
Hope to see ya then!
Hey Kodiak Fuckers...
Wow - you got me. I sure didn't expect a response like that! Guess I'll have to sharpen my fangs AND my wit before I come over.:jose Could you check to see if the Rendezvous has any good bands playing Labor Day Weekend? I called to talk to Val today and he "doesn't live there" any more. He used to bring good bands/music to Kodiak so I hope that continues!
where are you stationed again?
Yup, we'll see who is gonna be here then. Regardless, it's the company of myself, KodiakFrank, Cappy, and the other schmucks that live on Kodiak that you should be wanting to come see...
But I ain't no pretty fly-boy.
Well of course I'm coming down to visit the stalwart ADV riders, possibly-gay Coasties and shmucks in Kodiak, but I also have to spend some time visiting my friend in the hospital. I just like to dance and was hoping there would be a good, live band in town that weekend. Based on its humble appearance, I wasn't sure what kind of band would be willing to perform out at your Bushkin Beach house. I'm not even sure what sort of "beach" attire is appropriate to wear at that imposing establishment. I'll probably leave my swimsuit at home and bring Kevlar-lined Carhartt overalls and a face mask. Hopefully that classy joint serves ice tea!
Are we going to ride out to the restaurant at the end of the road that serves delicious pie? I hope so - yummy!!!:dg
In case you're planning bike-related events, I have a suggestion, and it does NOT involve hotdogs. Nope - no hotdogs at all. Based on the appearance of the two "busty" mean in the photo, it's obvious I would NOT stand a chance at all in a wet t-shirt contest. Therefore I'm proposing that the guys who enjoy dressing up in drag compete in a wet t-shirt contest and let me and other female riders be the judge of who has the best fake hooters. Even though I may be in the minority, it sounds good to me! Or, I could offer my excellent and discriminating judging talents at a (male) "best legs" contest, with the guys wearing shorts and riding pillion as they parade by. I'm sure the women of Kodiak would appreciate that! Although based on the photo in the postings, I think I have seen better-looking legs on tables....
If by chance there's time and good weather, do you think anybody would hike up Barometer with me, to provide protection from the big, mean bears?
Have a Happy 4th of July!
I'd win, hands down.
'nother one to chock up on the boards for labor day.
Some of the riding to be had around here...
Cool hots Spicy, thanks.
I think akwerf & I will be riding down to Homer, then hopping on the ferry to Kodiak in the next week or so. What are the must do/sees of Kodiak for someone that's never been there?
