just moved to the other side of the state and finally got to get the bike out and explore a little, took it out to Land Between The Lakes. Ended up cutting down a dirt road and next thing I know I wasn't even on a road anymore. Made for a fun ride, thought I was going to get stuck at one point trying to climb a hill that was muddy, tire was spinning like crazy lol. [IMG]

Right in my back yard... It's amazing how you overlook the some of the places close to home.

I live about 15 minutes east of LBTL now, might have to meet up one day and have you show me some good rides.

I ride that area quite often. Lots to do, and Paducah is a very cool town.

I used to live right on lake Barkley (sp) one of the lakes of L.B.L.
I had a Cadiz KY address but was 15 minutes out side of town.
I sure do miss that place. Once I left the Army I had to move to find work :(
I remember riding across that very bridge.

Where do you live? Im definitely ready to ride when it warms a bit, although I did get cabin fever and went for a short spin in the 24 degree weather a couple weekends ago.

just to the left of it on the beach, pretty much the same spot though. I haven't found any good street riding yet, so if you have any suggestions I'd love to go check them out.

Take the trace south into TN. Hang a right at the sign for Piney Campgrounds. Turn on your radar detector and bevel pucks as needed. (Best done of Weekdays) :deal

Linton Rd headed into the LBL from Cadiz is nice too. More sweepers, but hardly ever see traffic. As you're headed in to LBL, hang a left before the last street before the first bridge. ( across from the restaurant and archery place.)

I spend most of my time Southeast of you, but if youre up for a day trip I can give you some nice routes via PM.

Went camping there some 35 years ago with my dad and brothers when we lived in Erlanger Ky.

It was a great place! The water rose about 8 feet over night. Luckily we had camped (and parked) far above the water level. Canoeing through the trees with my dad and 3 brothers is something I will never forget.

somewhat true, but I have the right attitude hehe. Soon as I can afford to have both I will. But until then I'm not going to let it hold me back from places I want to go :)

Yea I ran into a lot of those during turkey season last year. Haven't been there too much since I found out about Hickman Co. TN..... They have lots of dirt there and mostly county roads..

Lots of fun to be had.

DUNCNK..... where are you located? I looked for Rooter Poot TN but couldn't find it on the map:lol3

I started a thread a while back in the regional fourm called... LBE and the greater Fort Campbell area...... but never got much response.... It kinda died... I just let it die... there weren't too many people responding. Hit me up sometime so we can ride... I got a dued out in Paris who is always up for something.....

Rode through this are twice last year and camped both times.
I just love it.....some great scenery and friendly people. Not hard to find a good place too eat either. Only 6 hours from home for me. will be riding down again soon as the weather straightens out. A gem.
