Looking to run the smartphone as a GPS for On/Off roading, not using any data connections.

I prefer this to be rugged...i guess IP67?? or something like that
Bright screen for those sunny days
Large screen (not not a tablet) so i can see things (i wear glasses and tall rider)
USB or USB-C power connectivity so i can charge while riding

Must have BT and Wifi connectivity
Also decent size storage (such as 16GB ??) to download maps for offline use

Not looking to buy anything new and a few years old model is just fine
Want to keep it under $100

    Any suggestions?
    thanks

Great, i will look into it.
I am looking at no ESN phones (because they are cheaper and i don't need data)

Will the XD specs be good enough to be used as a standalone GPS device on the bike?
    • 5.7-inch HD display with 1,280x720-pixel resolution (258 pixels per inch)
    • 8-megapixel rear camera that can shoot 1,080p video; 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
    • 1.6GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor.
    • 16GB of internal storage
    • 2GB RAM.
    These run Android 5.1 OS

Is there a write up some where to turn these into a GPS?
I already have Locus Pro on my cell phone that i am wanting to move into a device like the XD

    thanks

Would a less rugged, but maybe less expensive and better spec'd phone in an Otter Box be an option?

so far a bunch of people are happy with it.

I normally get 4- 4 1/2" screens, but after using the wife's xd I might be getting one for myself.

I use the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active which has a rugged case coating applied. Works great for me.

Sony Experia Z ultra in a powered mount.

IP67, 6" screen and bright enough that it takes a majorly bad light angle to make it hard to see. Also its pretty glove friendly.
