Thank you both! It was only my fault and incorrect assumptions. For the ones that do not know:

    - ABS light will stay on after you start the engine / it only goes away after bike is moving.
    - Even if you have ABS, the wheel (rear at least) will lock at slow speeds (less than ~5-10km/h)

The wiring pictured above...is probably factory made, but that is still to be confirmed. If anyone could take a look under the ABS unit cover and check if the connectors are the same, that'll be great.

    Cheers

Before my big trip from Capr Town to home i decided to not remove ABS. Now i`m back home and ABS must go...
I have 990ADV, 2009 but older speedo. Does this mean that I can get this resolved in a simpler way? In other words - is it easy with an old speedometer?

I have a NOS 2014 990. I removed the rear ABS first to check the difference in lever feel and power over a few trips. Now I have it completely removed front and rear and the brakes now actually stop you, ABS is for cars where you retain steering while hard into an emergency brake situation !
I still have the pump though, gave up and didn't want to hack into wires or change dash etc so I just left it.
I'd still like to remove it though.

Anyone any further on this subject? I reccon it’s not as easy as just jumper the big ABS connector for speed signal and switched 12v power?
