    bump and a Q:

Anyone know if the installation has changed on the Fastway F3s? The bastages at KTM World state that they fit all KTMs 98-05 - Oscar Mayer? :dunno

Nobody else does, I don't think even Fastway Performance does... :scratch

I still think the ~$60 SXC R/S (L/S? :lol3) peg hanger bracket is required and some grinding...

Hello everyone, sorry to resurrect an old thread, but would anyone know where the old Fastway installation guide for the pre-SXC footpeg would be. I have one of those oldie '02 peg hangers, and a new set of fastways sitting on my rebuild shelf and i'd like to get hold of the collective knowledge before embarking on my own. :D

Questions, questions, questions. And here's mine.:D

I just sourced some Mk 1 Pivot Pegz from an inmate and they were mounted on a 660 '02 rallye previously.
The steel pin that the footpeg mounts to on my '03 adventure is considerably narrower than the outside diameter of the new pegz, so my spring won't fit over it. Does anyone know if there is a similar diameter footpeg pin so's I can use the springs off that? I looked at a 690 SM today and that seems to have a fatter pin, but this was on a showroom bike so I couldn't rip it off and measure it (without being caught anyway). All advice appreciated, thanks.

GodSilla, I don't know that much about footpegs. sb955i, PM me your email address and I will send you the installation guide.

My bike had hard time starting today, which is a different story. So, I tried to kick it.

I have newer ktm left bracket 58403038100 , and apparently it interferes with the kick start lever when you try to kick start the beast.
    Anybody else has this problem?

How do I find the correct pin for the left side? The pin thru the footpeg on the right is longer than the left one. I can't find a part number for it. Any suggestions or alternatives? Thanks, btw, I'm mounting Pivot Pegs Mk2.

I have a set of Pro Taper pegs for a 2000 ADV. The right side mounts with no problem but my question is, will the SXC bracket fix the left side issue or is there any oder solution? I have a size 12 boot and the OEM pegs are just way too small.

you need the bracket. with it the whole process is plug-in-play. if you got really big feet, the fastways are hard to beat for total acreage. the pro tapers look sweet, but they aren't as big.

    good luck,

Didn't want to pay $200 for a slightly larger set of pegs, so I welded on some extensions. We'll see how it works. Feels good for now.

Just changed the pegs on my '99 with pegs and RH bracket from an '04. Apart from a couple of new bolts for the bracket and taking some metal off the back of the RH peg so it sits a bit flatter, they went straight on. Springs were a bit of a challenge come to think of it. Clearance for the kickstarter between the bracket and frame doesn't seem to be an issue. I also changed the footbrake lever for one with a folding tip off a Duke II. I found all the bits on ebay in the UK at a good price. The bigger pegs make all the difference.
