Just saw that. I guess my live feed isn't all that live. Crazy weather there. They go from furnace heat in the 100's to rain, hail, lightning and thunder.
Oye-- that front end loader against the flood like a shovel against the ocean--- flood keeps coming back. That mean mother nature. One thing I noted yesterday is Bernal is a pretty solid descender.
Well, time to go pump up the tires on the bicycle and saddle up. Nice hot, humid day today so another death ride is on order. Speaking of bicycle racing, ever ride a support motorcycle in snow, hail or rain? It sucks. The car drivers are mostly like car drivers anywhere, only semi-attentive. Mostly the VIP folks. The officials tend to have lots of other seat drivers directing.
Even though I grew up in Colorado I'm always amazed by Mountain micro-climate. One year as a kid my family was backpacking, we got some light rains but nothing major. One watershed over it dumped so much rain it created the infamous Big Thompson Flash Flood. This has to be really confusing for the spectators.
