When it's over, I always miss having it on in the background of the morning.

Rooting for Viviani on the Champs, and then Alaphillippe as overall Most Aggressive, so a team other than Sky can make some kind of mark.

Whoa. The on-board shot is intense. 40mph on rock hard tires and frames over cobblestones. Always crazy.

Should stage wins score more for the points/green Jersey?

Pretty cool. Youngest rider wins overall. Rider in his first tour wins three stages, including the Champs.

Fresh (and clean) blood for the Tour.

This was the first year I sprung for the sports gold coverage. My initial feel was it wasn't worth it. I missed the announcers, and not being able to start at the beginning of the show while it was still in progress seemed like a big issue those first two days. But, once I was back to work, and starting to watch it well after it was over, I came to love the ad free coverage. Turn it on around dinner time, and have it going in the background the rest of the evening. I came to like those aussie announcers better than the regular NBCSN announcers by the end of it. The endless repeat commercials, and always hunting for the remote to fast forward are just memories. Much more enjoyable to watch this way. I'm looking forward to the additional races I'll get as well. I already see they cover the london ride next weekend, so not a long break to get my fix.
I'm really hoping it motivates me to get my fat ass back on the bike again. Been way too long since I rode. I might need to start out on the old steel mountain bike for a bit. I don't think I can reach the bars on my road bike anymore. :arg

I guess from visiting Paris and getting to ride around the country side a bit I just love the tour. I don't care about the sponsor banners and junk. Bike racing costs money. Heck, any competition costs money, OK, that Cornhole game probably is utterly cheap. :imaposer
Cornhole bag tossing has a fucking pro tour!
    :jack

I was in Iowa and it was on ESPN. I thought it was some parody channel. :lol3

Anyway, I really enjoy the sweeping shots of Paris.
    OK, done and dusted.
Monday I get back on the bicycle and go make myself sore.
And a year to consider if I go with the Gold pass again or just bank on the prime time coverage on NBC over the cable.
$59.95 will almost buy a bicycle tire. :-)

Feel gutted for the frenchie......he rode his heart out, all alone.
Columbia is in exultation. It is a huge win for Bernal, Ducati will probably have a special edition bike soon.
