Quality rain gear. Even moving the vehicles around the yard or walking to the mailbox in the rain

    Which brings us to FroggToggs.

You'd think micro-perforated Tyvek would be the shit, and it was for a year or so. Turns out Tyvek-- so bulletproof in mailer envelopes-- gets thrashed to hell in wind. And dies/leaks. Then rips like the plastic paper it is.

    Don't go full FroggTogg

I bought the Acerbis Cosmo pressure suit type thing. Had already purchased the Fox Titan suit, but this looked better. Tried them both on at home, got them both in large. The Fox suit was going back, just wanted to make sure. The Acerbis fit was poor, shoulder armor fit loosely and had no cinch straps like the Fox. The rest of it fit well, so I doubt the medium would work for me. Fox wins.

Got the Troy Lee Designs armored shorts, the armor sucks. Got the Alpinestar Bionic shorts, too damn small. I am a 31 waist in jeans, ordered medium. Had to order again in large, those should fit because the medium is way too small. These shorts have good armor, and they are kind of sexy. I will post pics when I get the larger size in. :lol3

They are limited when it comes to longevity. They don't last. But when in newer condition, I've never found better, cooler, and drier wearing rain gear.than Frogg Toggs. Bone dry on man a trip.

Helly Hansen boat jacket and pants.

    Do they breathe? No.

    Do they ever leak? No.

Honestly, they pack down well enough too.

I'll grant that as accurate, when new, esp the top. The pants were toast after a few donnings-- welded seams just flaked and the Tyvek pilled on wearing surfaces like airhead carbs on the shins.

The top did last longer but not by much. It went to the landfill when it became an overpriced piece of windowscreen

MyTeknic Gore-tex Monsoon jacket is amazing. NOS out of Roseburg Cycles in Oregon. $109. They have this old gear with tags on them. I have two of the jackets and matching bib overalls. A bit too warm for Florida most of the time.

The matching bib overalls were only $89. I think they still carry both. I bought a second jacket just because I liked the first one so much.

The bib suspenders zip off. And I seam sealed the crotch when new. 15715070581513962228289717812748.jpg

No it isn't that, but I guess going from an outdoors job to an office setting doesn't help, no matter how many miles I put on my bicycles......:bluduh
