Top of The World Highway 1988
Near Muncho Lake BC
the rest of you guys need to step up your game, only one thing better than a pic from Alaska......... and that's a pic from Alaska with a pretty girl in it.
Something tells me she's not a rider or passenger.....but she is cute!
You've got that right! Their car pulled up to the sign and two "hotties" popped out and walked immediately to my bike. Funny, my wing man had his wife along and they ignored them. Anyway, this young lady asked if she could sit on the GSA. The two guys had big dollar Nikons and were taking picture as though she was a super model. They encouraged her for sexy poses and she happily agreed. Then next time we saw them, they had stopped dead in the middle of the Yukon River Bridge.
okay, I will play....

Entering Alaska from Top of The World Highway
A rose among thorns. How did you two talk that good-looking lady into a trip like that?
They ride BMWs!!!!
Interesting how times have changed....I think it would be hard to see any recent pics of riders in full leathers today.
Riding around Skagway.
Salmon Glacier from the opposite direction most of us go?
I think he found a better deal. I can see about where I usually stop on the road below.
Canada on my way to Alaska
Alaska & Canada
, June 2018. Only made it as far as the Arctic Circle due to weather. 9000 miles 21 days.
In 87 our friend suggested we go to Alaska in 88. My wife had ridden on the back with me for 10 years and never thought much of having her own bike.
She was not crazy about sitting on the back on bad roads and decided early spring 88 she wanted her own bike for the trip.
She had a motorcycle license but did not ride her own.
That spring we got out every chance we could and we would take gravel roads so she could get used to that.
By the time we left late June or early July she had 6,000 or 7,000 miles experience.
The trip was 5.5 weeks and 10,000 miles and she got along great.
We camped almost every night.
She'll hit 300,000 BMW miles this next spring.
I'm a lucky guy :)
