I just got a '72 vintage Triumph Bonneville and am looking to put a vanity plate on it, so thought I'd see who else has them on their bike.

I use to have a Ural Patrol and used this:

I gave up on personalized plates referring to my work or a particular vehicle and switched to plates that are good no matter what I put them on or how long I keep them. And I have them on everything I own. I guess the one on the bottom needs to go on a particular type of bike, but it fits in with the other ones.

That guy is me and Galland1 got it right. I handed my phone to the guy that pulled out in front of me and asked him to snap a few pics for the inmates. My wife hates the pic... says its too creepy.

Great pic of the plate though, don't you think? LOL

    Is that a racing slick?

I spend enough money on vehicle registration. I'm not going to buy a plate that costs extra.

It's interesting that a lot of people (like you) see no value at all to a personalized license plate while others (like me) consider it to be almost a bargain for being able to make a vehicle unique. I'm happy to pay the $41.00 it costs to get the plate initially and happy to pay the $25 extra every year to keep the plates. It makes my cars and motorcycles different in a special sort of way. Plus my particular plates also help me get warnings instead of tickets when I manage to get stopped by the police.

I find them entertaining, but I won't be buying one. If I knew the money was going to a good cause, I might like the idea better.
