This is what happens when I'm off from work for three days and my cleaning / detailing OCD gene kicks in on my first morning off at 0700 hours! :)

I polished the black wheels on the silver bike so much that they ended up golden!

I do have a house, cars, and a rather large yard. Something had to give in order for me to spend time working on my bikes, so I decided that I could do without maintaining my yard. The two pictures below show a perfect correlation between owning one bike twenty years ago, and owning 12 bikes today....... Besides, who needs grass anyway?

This picture of me was taken back in the late 90's, back when I only owned one bike and the yard was still full of green grass.

The same back yard today..... I have given the land back to nature in order to find time for my bikes. I also like to think that I'm doing my part with reducing pollution by not running a lawnmower! :)
    fullsizeoutput_1f839.jpeg

And yes, I worked for another eight hours on my bikes today. I installed the trapezoid headlight and fairing, installed a new Staintune exhaust, an almost new instrument cluster, and new powder coated golden wheels onto my red 1996 Sport. I also serviced the silver 1100 Sport, since this bike is getting ready (amongst four to five others) to be listed on eBay next week.

I'm realizing that I'm getting older, and I would like to enjoy riding my bikes versus just working and servicing them. So I'm going to cut the herd down from twelve to seven bikes.

Here is the end result of sixteen hours of my labor during the last two days:

I started this morning with this:

And I ended late this afternoon with this: I also must say that I really like the red paint with golden decals with the now matching golden wheels. The new Staintune header pipes and crossover also compliment the bike nicely.

I uninstalled the golden wheels (after installing them yesterday) from the silver bike this morning and decided that I like them on the red bike better, so I'm listing the silver bike on eBay next week with the black wheels.
