Nice rock nap… Where is this?
Spain, an hour south of Valencia. No damage done.
as seen at the Horizons Unlimited Ontario event. Can't wait to edit this photo set. It's going to be a few days as I have a lot going on right now.
Nice magazine-quality action shot!
Nice blurry shot more like it. The only redeeming factor being at least the BMW logo is in focus
Nah...photographers play with depth of field and intentionally TRY to get such blurred effects in order to impart a sense of motion while de-emphasizing other aspects such as the rider's face. That looks like an ad for a GSA...the emblem in focus is perfect to that task!
I thought it was executed exactly per plan and you were proudly showing off your craft -- not posting a photo that you instead think is of poor quality. I guess you just got lucky!
Well yeah, it's Memorial Day Weekend, lot's of riding to get done today.
yea, then there's this - https://www.collinsdictionary.com/us/dictionary/english/out-of-focus
Here's my GS offroad (yep, oof)...
This is better:
BTW, I've used that 'effect' a few times but always unintentionally. What causes it in my case is I have a very fast auto focus system, but in wooded cover at a low ISO, I do have to slow the shutter a bit meaning when a target is moving, I focus on the part of their bike closest to me (tire) then track the bike as it gets closer to me physically moving the camera right to left in tandem with the speed of the bike. This blurs the background but in this case, I was afraid of missing the shot so I lowered the f/stop to 4.0 which is the lowest this lens will go and what happened was the middle of the bike was luckily in focus but everything else either blurred from my physical tracking OR the tight depth of field.
If I was
-used 5/6 fstop
It probably would have been more in focus at least the bike would have been.
then there's this...
Along the Carbon River valley, WA.
Autumn in Oz....
I think I recognize the goofball......lol
Then this goofball should look pretty familiar
Funny I remember the ditch that caused the tip over to be 3 feet deep. Must be the camera angle.......lol
Hey Lansraad, beautiful photo, where was it taken?
Quart Pot Rd between Bolaro Mountain Rd and Buckenbowra Rd (https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-35.7152961,150.0406843,3251m/data=!3m1!1e3)
About 20 mins ride out of Mogo (Buckenbowra Rd, R-> Ross Ridge Rd L-> Quart Pot Rd and follow your nose on Quart Pot until you see it :)
Now that’s a happy GS in West by God Virginia!
