I should have taken a solo trip this year. Went to a dozen rallies but didn't just hop on the bike and head north. kind of regretting that now. thanks for the photo.

Yeah? It was 46 degrees here. It's still August- It will warm back up.
I suspect you're doing back to back September weekends with the Green Mtn. and then the Jamaica rallies?

Not sure last night was coldest, night before (sunday night) thermometer was sitting at 40° when I went to bed with a few more hours to get even colder. So I think it may have got into the 30's if only by a degree and a short time.

I rode Hatcher Pass in mid June, really enjoyed it. You have some great riding near you in Palmer, a nice little town. I have to say I enjoyed Matanuska Brewing more than staying at the Eagle Hotel though.

OOOOHHHHH NOOOOOO!!!! Not the Eagle Hotel!! That is one of the most disgusting places in the state, I'm so sorry. If you ever return please get a hold of me and I can get you great lodgings that won't break the bank. The Valley Hotel or Pioneer would have been much better.

Ha, yeah it was pretty bad. Thanks for the offer, if I find myself in your area again I’ll take you up on it. The couple living in the beater Chevy van in the parking lot did offer invaluable travel advice though.:lol3

Went Fly Fishing in the mountains today. Found a nice unmaintained Forest Service Road that was a blast.

Everything went well, but my ACD Racing Skid Plate isn’t holding up. I’ve have it for 2 months and it’s beat. Every time I hit a rock there is a new large dent. I’ve had Alt Riders on my Africa Twin and 1190 and they held up much better. The skid plate is thick, but it seams like the hardness isn’t there with the ACD. I guess it’s time to replace it. 6C3EC053-76A1-4D3E-A7E4-987CF3AF7717.jpeg
