Drag racing my ZR2 vs. my buddy's Ford Raptor 6.2l: Must say that I'm impressed with my truck. We are both in 4wd high and traction control off. My buddy got the jump on me. Had we started at the same time I'd be ever so slightly quicker.
Ever seen a Mitsubishi 'Monster' Minica 360 pickup? Next to my Jeep at NAPA. The cab could hold about 1 1/2 persons. 360cc of massive two stroke power. Death On Wheels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_Minica#Mitsubishi_360
Looks like a cross between a Nash American and the original Datsun pickups. Not practical but certainly good looking.
That raptor is pushing 6200# iirc. I have a crew cab super duty from the same era with the same engine that’s less than 2000# heavier. They were heavy pigs.
Had almost a foot today, earlier than expected. Riding season is definitely over! And yes, I did remove the snow from the roof and tonneau before heading home from work.
Fuck Ram/Chrysler/Dodge/Fiat/Cummins. This piece of junk has already shit the bed and not covered under warranty. I knew I shoulda stuck with Ford. So damn pissed right now I can hardly see straight. If I can get it to clear the codes and drive to the ford dealer without dying on me I'll be driving home a new superduty tomorrow. Fuck me, I don't have the money for this shit right now.
Yeah, it just hasn't been my month. Kid in the hospital out of state a few weeks ago, wife's explorer jumped timing with an almost new engine, wife's backup vehicle (2012 town & country) broke flexplate, I crushed my finger and missed a week's work and now the truck is a lawn ornament two days before the first payment is due and I'm about to go into thermonuclear meltdown. The truck has a 100k mile powertrain warranty, but this is an emissions item and only covered for 80k miles. It has 86k miles on it. I really shoulda just held out and bought a new 2020 Ford 7.3 gasser and not played this bullshit diesel game again. I got out of diesels for a reason, apparently I forgot why and had to come learn my lesson once again.
Dude, I didn't see this before replying to Mike's post in the "Cool Trucks" thread. This totally sucks. If I may... Take it to another Stealer, and get an FC Rep on the phone. It's my understanding that the emissions' shit is considered "powertrain". I'ma take a wild guess...DPF related? EDIT- I'm with @villageidiot, delete that fukker. ...if that's even still possible. I've recently learned that the EPA ran Flo-Pro into Canada. But, that shouldn't be much of a concern for a guy like yourself, anyway. Although, there is still the obstacle of PPEI running for the hills.
Remember emissions is a 150k mile warranty by federal law. Edit to add: don't know time or heavy duty qualifies.
