Try Ameriprise through Costco and Hagerty for low annual milage usage for stated value. Doesn't necessarily have to be a vintage or classic.

    Try shopping around.

Here in Michigan I pay $795 every 6 months. Full coverage on the 2015 minivan and 2012 suv, and just liability on the 92 C2500.

Ran a quote with Progressive using an Orlando address and the same vehicles, same coverage. $614 every 6 months.

Just saying, don't give up on the 2nd vehicle ownership dream.

I've called most, if not all, major insurance companies over the years. Likewise, and you all wouldn't know this since your'e from other states, but all major trucking companies who hire and teach new drivers refuse to hire anyone from this state no matter where their driving record. The only way is to move, get a license in a different state for a while, and THEN re-apply.

Most of the country would believe this against their rights as United States citizens, but for this state - as crazy as it is - it's par for the course.

My old Nissan, overlooking Boise ID during a loop of the west after purchase. Great little truck. I went on to put over 300K on it.

Holy chit! I had this happen the other day on my '11 5.0. I only had the service AdvanceTrac message. I vaguely recall it happening once a few years ago... Maybe. I drove about 1/4 mile and was thinking it could be a wheel speed sensor or something when the warning cleared itself and I forgot all about it. I'll have a look at that connector for sure! I had just released the parking brake when it happened, though I didn't make the connection at the time.

On a parking brake related note, now that it's below freezing here, I'm having a problem with my left parking brake releasing. Gotta take that apart because ive just had to drive until it "self clearances" twice now and it gets quite hot. I'm sure it will wear out the shoe rather soon.

Don’t tell anybody because I don’t want to be made fun of but the plow truck has a backup camera and the truck I hit is black. My only defense is that at least I wasn’t the one who parked it....

Stuck in the ditch. Trying to drive straight, lousy tires and snow had other plans.

Yep, check way up under the dash on the parking brake bracket and see if there’s a giant wire harness connector attached to it. If so, I’d bet $$ that’s your problem.

Disconnect and re-connect the huge plug and it should be fine. I find that if I hold my foot on the parking brake to keep it from slamming when released, it doesn’t jar the connector.

As far as the park shoes, you may need new backing plates. In sunny FL here so no salt to deal with so I really don’t have experience with that.

I don't drive. The engineers chauffeur me around :lol3

I don't need a 5500 but it will hold any camper I buy/build for the bed.

Hell, I go for the food, the scenery is secondary. There’s practically a buffet with all the people handing out samples.

We went tonight as it's a lot less busy on weeknights. On the food subject, the last time we went on a weekend they were doing samples and there was a family maybe 4 or 5 that literally would wait till the food was done, eat all of it and go to the next and do it again and again. So apparently to my wife my muttering it looked like heifers chasing the hay wagon is not publicly correct...my defense they were not small people.
