If there was a leak then the system pressure would be low and the low pressure sensor wouldn't let the clutch engage so can't really agree with that statement. IMO find a good recon complete compressor and replace the whole thing.

FYI it doesn't get to 105* here in the Midwest, incase you want to leave out there.

I let the dealer fix it as I don't have much free time (or patience) right now. They had it ready in less than 24 hours and knocked out a few other small things while they were in there. It ended up being less than quoted.

My dog goes on frequent rides and while the truck was gone she would look for it in the driveway and whine and howl. Of course I had to take her on a short drive yesterday evening because she hadn't been anywhere in 3 whole days.

Road trip with the wife this week.....heading to the woods for some much needed R&R.

7 years old and 95,000 miles, still one of the most comfortable vehicles I’ve taken on a long trip.

Was it the compressor or just the clutch?

The trucks certainly look a lot better with the painted fenders instead of the flat plastic ones mine has.

Enjoy every minute of your R&R, in a little bit you'll be trying to snag any free time to get a quick nap when possible.

Currently dealing with an 05 Xterra stuck in limp mode (4th all the time). All diagnostics points to a known problem with the circuitry on the TCM, and can be fixed with a soldering iron, new fluid and a couple hours work. Do you know the process to do the transmission diagnostics?

Driving on lots of gravel roads to get to good hiking spots, even to our cabin. There’s a pretty good stretch that holds 10 degrees which is a shade over 17% if my math is right for about 200 yards into the cabin.
