Dale and I won the 350 class and finished 8th overall.

Are the Banshi cylinders ported a lot differently? Do they have the variable height exhaust port? Are those basically Banshi carbs? A couple of friends had RZ's with bigger, aftermarket Mikuni's on them and my friend's RZ with stock carbs would blow their doors off. Don't get me wrong, I am not around very many RZ's but I have yet to see one impress me that did not have stock carbs.

A friend put FZR 600 wheels, swingarm, forks, and brakes on his RZ. It was like Yamaha made it that way. Some Toomey pipes and jet kit and the thing would out pull my other friend's tricked out and ported race bike with a TZ 250 wheels, forks, and swingarm. I thought the FZR stuff was much more trick. It all worked too!

not banshee cylinders just a complete rz motor swap.a lot of rz guys would put big carbs on looking for power but the rz has small intakes so 28s are about as big as you want to go.the reason i swapped carbs was for the throttle response, the stock vm series use 70s tech while the kehin pwk carbs are a modern semi flatslide.the difference is remarkable much better response and even picked up 10% increase in mileage.

The V4 is THE bike on my Bucket list. I have lusted for one of these forever, but the prices are getting up there, so it probably won't happen, but I can still dream...

Figured you might like to hear the sweet noise too.

Easter 2013 at Broadford race track, near Melbourne. My 350LC is a work in progress but this is one of it's first proper runs with me on board.
It's fitted with 28mm Mikunis with 240 mains, to the standard reeds; Pete Gibson chambers & pod filters.

    I had some fun.

I asked to be let loose in the 'expert' group a bit later. They don't take prisoners. Much more fun as I was actually dicing with a few different people. Not getting in the way of others, nor having others get in our way. I ended up riding a lot harder than in this video. Or should that just be 'trying' a lot harder?:lol3:clap

Ray, I see you mention that you have an RD/RZ list, you might want to work with Aaron on the rdrz500 forum as he has a list too and maybe combine and then keep it somewhere everyone can find it? just a thought.

    RDRZ500 forum?

That would be in here : http://www.rzrd500.com/

I'm simply trying to keep it to an email / distribution list for Oz owners. Locate parts, locate other owners etc. I post on Aircooled RD & RDLC Crazy, so I'm not into trying to start anything grand.

I'd expect the 500 owners that contact me would already be away of the above website.

    thanks for the suggestion

the other thing, I just remembered, was that confidentiality of details was part of the gig.

no worries, I tried to start a smaller thing a while back on 2strokesdowunder where sydney folk could swap RD and RZ parts theye werent using with other like minded fellows.

The 500 and 350 sides of the RZRD500 forum are quite different and not many people cross over unless they own both bikes etc. I rarely look at the 500 side as I know it will hurt my wallet as i really want a 500. :cry

I also post on Norbos forum... damn there are so many forums now! :freaky
