This was in Canyonlands, Utah. I was told, believe or not, it was an old gas station from the 1920s.

great trip that was! i have the "eclipse" glasses hanging on the garage wall. and i'm sure that $4 welding shield purchased at the indian trading post in "i don't know where we were location" is kicking around somewhere. maybe south dakota?

That's how I do SS1000.....usually at night, though.
Back country camping with a vehicle is a bit more complicated in the East, im sure there are places to go on your bike that you can camp but i dont know of them as far as federal land goes. This is us hammocking on some reclaimed coal mine land here in Western KY, my hammock appears to be banjo tight, i believe beverages were involved...
