Here are a couple shots from the MABDR this past weekend, covered sections 1, 2 and 3. Will return to finish the trip at a later date. I only live about 40 mins from the start of section 4. Resized_20180930_102612.jpg

It really wasn't bad, it was a very good route, aside from the inital 300 miles in the pouring down rain to get to Damascus. There are a few spots where the road was soft or washed out but nothing unmanageable. I thoroughly enjoyed the riding and am pretty upset to be back at work today.

Photo is from mid Aug. last year, 2 weeks after a 1 wk/3k mile trip to Vermont. Was told the creek there was 6-7 ft deep 2 weeks ago. This bike's a keeper. Those Anakee 3s gotta go tho. That's what Feb. is for.

I've not seen any in that area. Usually see a herd around the Oconaluftee Visitor Center just outside of Cherokee, N.C.

Sounds like Cades Cove. Bear, elk, deer, turkey and all sorts of wildlife abound there.

How do you like your hack rig? I have a Sputnik on a Klr and am selling my V-Strom 650, have been pondering putting the hack on my Strom and getting my Klr back.
