WR/YZF450 Rekluse Core EXP2 auto clutch unit in my XT660R..... I also have the WR/YZF250 unit in my TTR250.... ...
They don't sell too well in Australia unfortunately, probably only a matter of time before they're discontinued.. http://www.mcnews.com.au/2013-australian-motorcycle-sales-figures/ 2012 sales = 86 2013 sales = 53 2014 (jan-sept)= 29 (compared to the KLR which is up around 400 per year, DR = 600, ) I think most people want something sexier, or the cheapest thing they can get.... The XTR seems to fall through the cracks...
they don't sell well in NZ either.. you can have a KLR or DR 650 for under $10,000nz A XT660R will set you back around $13,000... the XT660Z Tenere is $16,000... .
Anyone got a pair of XTX dog bones for sale I could do with raising the rear just a little can pay via paypal Rob
New sump guard arrived, what a pain fitting with the crash bars took a lot of bending but I think it will protect the areas that need it !!
Hi, I did the same. XTX dogbones raise the rear of the R 2cm aprox. (they´re 5mm shorter than the R's) Bear in mind that makes the rear stiffer, for me is a bit unconfortable, you can live with this or put a softer spring/revalving. I needed to do this because my KYB forks are 5cm taller than stock ones, but I´m thinking of change the rear wheel to 18" to compensate the geometry of the bike and get rid of the X dog bones and put the originals. Anyway I'm not going to sell them now, they aren't expensive, 20 at Yamaha dealer. Cheers
Thanks kermit, it was a great bike until :eek1 I was side swiped by that little fella that ripped my pannier off and bent a bit.
