Now that's not a a bad idea, we will see what happens....
Thanks for following along dan, we had a great time.
I think beers and a bed are on us after all the amazing hospitality we have received.
Thanks for following along so closely from the start.
Thank you for the ride report! It helped inspire my upcoming RTW trip.
No worries any questions at all feel free to send me a message.
I’m sad your trip is ending but probably not as sad as you two are. Thanks for being so diligent about updating from the road!
Thanks for the entertaining trip report and remember there is plenty of great riding back home in Oz. I could envisage you you two enjoying the wine, food and scenery in the King Valley just to the north of Melbourne.
Thanks fasttortoise, we are sad but also happy to be going home to see family and friends.
Thanks for following along all the way.
Josh and stef
Thanks for following along.
Yes there is, actually stef has only done 2 overnight trips and one was u through the king valley, to bright and then onto falls creek.
Still one of my favourite strips of road is Mansfield to Whitfield as you head into the king valley.
Josh and Steph, wow what a year it's been for you guys, Amazing!
And thanks for your comments on El Salvador, I had a great month there...
Thanks mate. We have very fond memories of El Salvador especially the people.
Just remarkable!!! Congrats on a wonderful and safe trip! Thank you for taking all of us to so many fantastic places. I know this is one of many such trips in your future. Take care!
btw, what happened to the bike again?
What an amazing trip and adventure. Thanks for posting it. Can you share your thoughts as the adventure comes the end? Could you share approx. cost for 12 months of travel for 2? Keep us updated on your next adventure. Thanks again for taking us along.
Thanks Joe, we sold the bike, in the end we lost 2k on the bike, we did 45,000kms and kept our side cases so we were are pretty happy
Sounds like a steal. You did well IMO.
We will countinue to update as we wrap things up.
We have kept a pretty detailed budget and once we get home I will post some info about the costs, but it def isn’t the cheapest trip out there but we were close to our orignal budget and we did the trip a lot nicer than we thought.
Yep we think so!
We spent just one night in Tucuman to organise our luggage, Cluadia droves ya around sorting everything out. Washed the bike.
We had a family coffee get together which was really nice and too soon it was time to leave. We had a 14 hour overnight bus to Mendoza, we had booked first class tickets and after hearing about how good the buses were in Argentina we were kind of excited.
We had nice big seats that went almost flat, happy days. Until we woke up at 2am sweating, it was 35 degrees in the bus! The heater was full blast, everyone else was sleeping...
Mendoza, could there be a better place to spend a few days before we go home..... well no beach but otherwise pretty nice place haha.
We arrived at our hotel at around 11am went and had breakfast and returned back to check in, hotel organised a winery tour for us, $12 each, 3 winery’s and an olive oil place including tasting and English speaking guides.
