I started reading this thread a long time ago but I guess I got sidetracked. Musta seen a chicken or something. What a freakin' riot! I was thinking about entering a couple of events this year on my 640 Adventure, now I know I'm going to do it. Elsinore will be one of the races, a local D-37 desert race to be announced will be the other. Maybe even an enduro somewhere along the line. Should be a piece of cake compared to rasslein' that yellow beast around the woods. :rofl

This is one of the best ride reports ever. I've read it a hundred times if I've read it once and I still laugh out loud. Thank you Javarilla.

Just saw this thread, also. Great write-up. I'm wondering what happened to him, though. The last post (I can remember anyway) he was training for the 2004 event. Did he ever do 04 or 05?

Either this or that report where Steve used a sail to run his BMW are my faves of all of these ride reports. And I have a lot of great material to choose from here.

The poster was Esteban and the forum was, I think, this one. Maybe someone else has a direct link so you don't need to search. Or I suppose you could email the guy.
