Lots of unknowns, as the technical issues are large, but I believe I have most of them sorted at this moment. This is not a new idea, as I have been a nomad (of sorts) since 2015. Keeping fuel in the tanks and body has been the primary focus since 2015 (as opposed to accumulating things/wealth). I have been living a rather luxurious lifestyle (all 234 sq. ft.) and have easily managed to live a relatively "normal" life since parking my rig in 2017. Read Normal=Boring. Like most people, for the last 3 years I have saved my adventure for the weekends, and now I am looking for more REAL adventure.

Inspired by folks like Scotty Kerekes (Scooter Tramp Scotty) and others, I have decided to attempt not only living on a motorcycle, but working on a motorcycle at the same time. To make things more interesting, I will not be riding to hotels, or working from coffee shops - I will be working in nature (or at least that is my plan/fantasy).

As of now, I need a decent cell-signal, and sunlight to make income(in theory). Water and food/fuel are nice, and hope there is a supply of both nearby?

This is an adventure AND an experiment.

My goal is 2 months. If I can make it 2 months without running out of money, patience, or luck, I am sure I can do this full time.

    My concerns?
    1. Bathing & laundry Depending on my filth level, I can usually only last about 3 days before my disgust with myself overcomes my joy of being in nature. I believe this will be my biggest obstacle, as creeks and laundromats are not always abundant.
    2. The Unknown I have made several cross country trips, but this should be the longest time spent on a motorcycle. I am quite accustomed to breakdowns & broken body and machines, but I don't like any of it. It is part of the adventure and I have come to accept it, but would rather have uninterrupted bliss if that is on the menu?
    3. Will this will certainly be a test of will, as my past trips always seemed to contain as much elation on my return as they did on the road. Temperature control, showers, and soft beds are very enticing to a road weary rider.
    4. Family issues - responsibilities are looming less than 60 days away, and they will take priorities over my adventure, but I am hoping for a good taste of what awaits for my long-term potential.

Today, I ride 5 hours for a shakedown ride to Florida to visit my mother before departing towards The Rockies sometime later this week, hopefully?

Following. I'm interested to hear details on how/what your work is that allows you to do it anywhere. Writer? Films?
Wishing you a successful experiment and a fun trip.

Got back from a 10 hour shakedown run, found a few issues, and now I am looking to depart Friday morning unless the earth splits in two?

All the very best, especially the visit to Florida.

stay well matey, all the best on the adventure (We travelled for most of the year last year, housesitting since I need stable wifi for my work... we looked at living on the road, RV—ing, van-life, toyhauler... but in the end, our livelihood depended on stable wifi... so housesitting it was... and a superb year of it was had)

I shall look forward to seeing this journey unfold.

The bike is packed like a mule(or moving van), and I am headed towards New Mexico/Colorado in the morning, and hope to be there by August 2. Gonna take my time riding up thru the Ozarks, then most likely Kansas and revisit the chalk pillars from my 2015 trip. It has been a very long week so far, and I cannot wait to turn the phone OFF for a couple of weeks. Update this weekend hopefully!

My first time spending the night in the Ozarks - DANG the roads are stellar up here. I have ridden thru during the dark, avoiding deer. I prefer riding during the day - the deer have had some training since my last trip - they wait till I pass them.
