Just returned from a gentle pootle around Rajasthan, India with eleven other Kiwis aboard Royal Enfields. Several other inmates Voltaire and Ven also on the ride / tour. Evolving thread here http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/kiwis-rumbling-through-rajasthan-aboard-re-bullets.1101287/ Also - a teaser vid shot by my friend and fellow inmate Ven (aka Nev) -a fellow tour participant along with Voltaire and myself - shows the conditions very well

Looks good. If yer gunna steal our pics at least get the credit right though - the shot from the chopper of the Clarence access is mine not Phil's
No probs, fixed. Just went by the name in the SmugMug link, no watermark etc., so no idea who actually took the shot. Don't want it there, just let me know, will delete right away.
Decided the cobwebs needed to be burnt off the bike, so after a few texts four of us headed out today. Geoff (Triumph) joined us for while until he turned off to head to Auckland leaving Phil, Al and I. Here are a few pictures. The route was Mokau (pies and coffee), Awakino (petrol), Waikawau (stock tunnel) then Pomerangi Road (for the gravel) to Pio Pio. As you can see Al got a puncture (he was well prepared with no tubes, levers or pump ....) but we had them. Unfortunately the front axle didn't want to come out so we had to find some BMW tools (piece of timber and rocks) to use as persuaders..... They worked, after a late lunch in Pio Pio we headed back to the Naki. A great ride, great company, awesome bikes and nice weather. Great day to be alive!
Al seems to attract punctures... I'd have thought Phil would have been out playing on his new toy (seeing as it's legal now...).
I joked with Al as we left home that I had tubes, pump and levers for him (that is from experience on the Coast to Coast ride where he used my tube ). That axle sure was hard to move!
The old girl needed a run as it hasn't been used since our 42nd ride and I've got a carb off the new one having a play with a Dellorto. May have a ride on it tomorrow.
