not sure where to post this question, but this seemed like a good place. i'm looking for pushpin data on all historical markers in the us, or at least in pa. something i could import into locus. even a spreadsheet with location data would work, i could do an import into a map and then export as pushpin set or something like that. any ideas where i could get that data?
You might start here: https://www.hmdb.org/ Follow links to State data (PA is there) and you'll see a download button. You'll have to register to continue, which I haven't done, so I'm not sure what the format is. However, it should be something Locus can handle, or at least something you can convert with available software. I may give this try later when I get some time..!
I've probably posted this question before and I even tried on Locus forum. Does anyone have an easy way to get a better curser than the default light blue outline one? Locus wants the user to jump through hoops and create a curser pack in the correct format, submit it to Locus and if they approve it will be available in the Locus store. Wth ? We tried that but apparently didn't do it right. I'm not a software guy. I just want to use and see my GPS. Why must the user work so hard to get a basic need met ? It's a curser ! What, 30 seconds work for the devoloper ? Can't we have a few VISIBLE one's to choose from or at least one like the solid blue navigation curser or navicon maybe it's called. This default one sucks when there is any bit of sun one the screen. I've seen this desire posted in threads going back several years even on Locus forum. Why can't this get done ?? I've gotten advice on Locus to increase the icon size. Yep did that. Pretty sure it would be much safer to clearly see the icon while moving rather than look for it. Any ideas ?
I'm a boy. You ? Ok kidding Yeah I dunno. For 2.5 years using Locus it's been the same. Now on Navigation mode it's a solid blue arrow. Actually acceptable. But for guidance or just following a track it's the blue outline
Yes is does. I don't use Navigation. I don't use guidance or voice commands. I follow a track. I think a lot of people do the same
Guidance is quite literally you just following the track with a ping when you get to shaping point or get too far off of it. No voice.
Yeah I just don't find it necessary. The arrow is there when following a track. Why not just make it easier to see ?
Wth guidance the arrow is an outline. Only solid in navigation. Makes absolutely no sense to me that we're suck with that as the only option.
Ugh that is annoying......wondering how I never noticed it. Likely Because a lot of the time I use OsmAnd As the map
