I was talking to @fbga about riding the SHF single track. I have no plans to go to the "Center for Disease Control" .....or ride the CDT. lol

Walt.R and I spent the day on the trails about 2 weeks ago with our big bikes. You will have no problems on your 310. Weather permitting, we will probably ride again middle of next month.

Cool. I rode Kelly’s Pond 3 weeks ago with the 310. It is indeed doable. Just wish I had knobby tires and had removed my windshield...

I broke the 5th metatarsal on my left foot last Wednesday. It is healing well so far. I might be able to join you guys next month.

Good job on the riding. Yep you need some knobby tires. I bet those tires were no fun in the sand. Why take the wind screen off? Looks small enough.
Sucks about your foot though. Hope it heals well.
I'll check with Walt.R when I get home next month (year lol). We might have a 1250 GSA join us too.

So is your foot healed? Inmate Walt.R and myself are looking at riding SHF dirtbike trails again next week... sometime around the 13th-14th weather permitting. Or the week after if needed. Take your windshield off (lol) and ride with us. We keep the pace pretty reasonable so it's a no stress ride. We usually do lots of stops to shoot the shit and laugh at each other on the trails.

My return visit to check on my foot was today. It healed. It still needs to build calcium over the fracture but it is progressing as expected.
On the downside, the guys at the BMW dealership picked up my bike yesterday for a long awaited brake caliper recall. I was promised it will be returned to me next week but I’ll be in Illinois till Thursday night (Feb 13th). I could probably be game for a ride on the weekend but before that it be be tough to get my ducks in line.
