Slow Toast, thanks for the suggestion.

I contacted Andrew at Toy Fetcher and he was able to do the move for me. I can confirm good things about him and would recommend and use him again when I need another Ottawa motorcycle transport or Ottawa motorcycle move. (Ok, the last part of the sentence was for the keyword searches)

He has a large new enclosed trailer and the bikes were secured and handled professionally. He was also pretty flexible in accommodating me as I was on a tight schedule and contacted him at the last minute. Despite my situation, his rate was very reasonable too.

BikeBobber, sorry I only saw your reply this morning after I had completed the move. Thanks for reaching out.

Well done Mike. NEVER by the tail (as you know) - it causes spine damage.

I didn’t know that but I would never dream of picking up any animal by the tail.

With snappers they say to keep your hands well back and pick them up by the shell and if that isn't possible then get them onto something like a car mat to drag them to the side of the road.

I did pick them up just ahead of their hind legs. It’s probably the only safe place to do so.

I live in Kingston and have seen quite a few of these little chameleons on the road, waved to the first one before I realized it was a DUI bike, smh. If they're going to be riding like most of them do (all over the roads without paying attention) they should be made to have insurance. There are a couple in town that are respectful to the rules of the road, but the overwhelming majority of them are disrespectful little $&#^s.

on the other electric bike side (Zero) I got into a wee light to light with one on my sport bike and was seriously impressed with the acceleration and looks.

Well I think this long weekend might have been the last road trip camping trip of 2020 for me. Spent it exploring eastern Ontario and west of Montreal on the north side of the Ottawa River. Camping out at Voyageur Provincial Park before they close up for the season. Had a nice weekends riding although a fair bit cooler 0CA6A47A-AC3D-479F-B280-5C9B367D084F.jpeg F2080087-5998-432F-AE32-39C6938EA966.jpeg E7F5B6B5-2852-45C2-A626-CAFC48D8E089.jpeg 6EEB16E1-AE24-4FB6-9DA3-2B36EA112767.jpeg

    That’s a good motto!

Saturday and Sunday look to be a great weekend to do a road trip. Where to go?? East to Quebec or west/south and do a southern Ontario loop?

Practicing the motto ’Nice enough day to wash the bikes so we went for a ride instead’. — drinking coffee with Stephanie at The Country Kitchen.

Saw lots of bikes. A guy from Kingston whose ADVRider name we don’t know stopped to chat on his 1000cc VStrom.

Hope to get out a few more times in the next few warm days.

I've been enjoying the Cardinal in Sharbot lately. Good eats, good coffee, nice picnic table to sit and enjoy.
