Great! It'll be good to see you.
You too! What bike are you taking?
GS. Sadly the Husky is on to another happy rider. Kicking it killed me!
Hard to deny the magic easy button!
Camping in Clifty Park....that's my hometown.
I will be there.
Working on a couple of GPS units at the moment. Will the ride be contained to IN, or will other states be included? Also, how soon do you post the tracks? Thanks!
Was riding with Loosenut over the weekend--------------the ride will stay in Indiana---the tracks will be posted on this thread probably right before the ride. I'm going to assume he will post the tracks in the very first post----so no one has go search thru this thread for them.
The route is not finalized yet.
That's all I needed. Just wanted to be sure I had the right maps on the GPSr. Thanks for all the planning. I'm looking forward to it!
athomp1182 and I did a little SEI riding yesterday. I think you guys will enjoy riding in our neck of the woods.
Linda and I checked out the campground yesterday, since we were in the neighborhood riding the NAK on Saturday. Is a real nice place, lots of room, nice shower houses, and lots of full hook ups for guys "roughing it" like us. Can't wait.
And if you can't wait come to the PHBR in the meantime. v
I'm in & anxious for it to get here. Had a great time last year!
COBDR was done this July With my son & My best friend. What a blast and trip of a lifetime. Done on my 06 KLR Brakes boiled on engineer pass 13500' so descended with no rear brakes. Now looking forward to my first loose nuts ride. Can't wait for the route.
Count me in
Ugh, I'm going to be in Florida this week.
sounds like a scary way to go down the mountain...........anxious to ride the Loose Nut with ya!
I'll see if I can make it as it sounds fun.
No rear brake on a loaded KLR above treeline in the Colorado Rockies sounds like some serious pucker factor!
A group of us from Michigan were out there a couple weeks ago riding parts of the COBDR and exploring, for us it was also a trip of a lifetime. What a Magnificent place to ride! Pic is the north side of Black Bear Pass after the stair steps... a handful on the KLR.
I should be in for this. Coming from SoIl. Anyone want to ride over beam me up. Carterville, IL. Have toyhauler if weather is cool.
Count me in. Have enjoyed riding dirt and pavement in Southern Indiana many times, mostly from Bloomington down to Cannelton and west to Shoals.
Been on pavement down your way once riding the Ohio River Scenic Byway, stayed at Clifty Falls.
Looking forward to riding with you folks and checking out some new dualsport route!
