Looking forward to the ride but not that big muddy section Jerry was having fun with. Hope there is a way around it.

Sigie—-that was the easy mud hole. Some of the others get really interesting. If it rains before the ride you will need a snorkel and hill climb chains. And , of course, there are go arounds known as turn arounds and go back the way you got there.—————oh this is going to be fun!

    Hmmm- Let's see here...:hmmmmm
Every time I've followed Sigie I've had a great ride.

The last time I followed RoadDad...
...MEDEVAC'd out of the Rockies and slept in WalMart parking lots all the way home.
    The time before that...
...followed RoadDad and we ended up loading a dead deer in one truck, a dead bike in another truck and a cranky dude cursing out paramedics in an ambulance...:jack
...then I saw RoadDad on the MABDR and he had a nasty argument with a creek crossing (PG13). :fight

You definitely make it interesting Jerry-Be careful how "you" decide to get to the other side of the mud holes!!!

Bring your big bikes.........this year Loose Nut will have three days of suggested tracks. Friday will be all pavement up to and through Red River Gorge and the Nada Tunnel which would be great for two up riding. Saturday and Sunday tracks will all be big bike friendly with optional knobby sections that will really have some fun or technical or muddy or deeper creek crossings.

As of late this week there should be two full hook up RV sites open. We gave ours up since we're gonna leave the toy haulers at home.

Thank you. If it stays dry, would I have to miss much of the knobby sections with a big bike? I just don't want to miss something cool. Will Fridays ride be too much for a dual sport bike?
    Thanks Steve.

Friday's loop is an easy dual sport day.......great scenic roads for dual sport.....big adventure bike or street bike.

its about a 200 mile loop that has plenty of gas stops but would make for a long day on a street legal dirt bike

Hey guys! I have been on this ride a few times over the last 5-6 years on my Dr650 and have never had a problem with the route. We just reserved a spot at the KOA, will be down Friday-Sunday. Friday sounds perfect for the Dr650 but how about Saturday and Sunday? I have ridden in that area most of my adult life and it can be KNARLEY! I have a plated KDX 200, would this be a better match for the routes on Sat/Sun? I did a dualsport ride last may out of Renfo, the Dr would have been way to much bike.

i have ridden most of the knobby sectuons on a DR650........yes they can be knarly
plated KDX would definately be more enjoyable on the knobby sections.......big DR will be nicer on the interconnects

you'll have to decide whether you want to ride a trail pig in the woods or a dirt bike or the road........or bring both and have a GREAT time!

Loose Nut, Thank you! looking forward to the ride! I may just bring both, fuel range on the KDX is the only problem as it is actually very comfortable to ride. I can make 80-90 miles on a tank without much problem and with an MSR bottle 100 miles.
