Motorcycle riding is good. Seafood is good. Why not combine the two by meeting me and a small group of riders at Phil's Fish Market in Moss Landing CA on Saturday, October 2 at 11:30 a.m.

I'm gonna be riding up from Southern California that morning, and hope to meet as many friends as I can, both from here, and www.bmwsporttouring.com.

Ride on up and introduce your self. I'll be the dashing guy in the black stich and I'll be riding the silver RT with the PIAA 910s. If it helps, I'll wear a pink carnation.... :evil

    Cheers,
    Steve

Hey, that would be great! I used to spend a lot of time around Advrider, and haven't in a long time. It would be great to meet some folks from this DB!

Ok, I'll leave the carnation at home. BTW, Lunch at Phil's in Moss Landing is still on for this Saturday. It would be nice to have a large ADvrider crew present!

I'll try and make it... gotta take a kid to a bday thing later that afternoon in Santa Cruz. Phils is about 30 minutes from me.

oh. Tomorrow is the open house at MBARI which is right next door to Phil's... This runs from noon til 5, so parking will be rather cramped. 11:30am is a VERY good idea to beat the rush. :deal

If any of you have an interest in Marine Science and Oceanography, I *highly* recommend the tour of their boats and facilities, this is a world class oceanographic research institute. In particular, if you can, score a pass (limited numbers available, handed out at intervals all day) to the tour of the Western Flyer.

I believe the Salinas Air Show is this weekend too.

I'd love to attend lunch at Phil's but I've gotta catch up from my ride last weekend... I'll look for the next one.

Myself and little Ned will go ... almost positive. We are in the same neighborhood as Pierce ...so about 1/2 hour away. Both on F650GS's. My back brake cyclinder is gone so my Reno trip is off. I'll try to get a replacement in the morning. ..with luck cause the BMW shop here doesn't carry too many spares in stock. Anyway we'll be there.

Pierce: good call on the MBARI open house!

yeah, and my kid, coincidentally also named Ian, is riding shotgun, he wants to go to the MBARI open house. the friend's BDay thing is happening more like 4, so we got plenty of time to poke around the labs right after lunch, but this means no spirited riding in the back roads of South Santa Cruz County, ah well. If any of the SoCal AdvCrew are interested, I can scribble on their maps and send them all over hell on lousy roads :)

I think no spirited riding for me either :) Just back from my first ever mead
tasting. That shit's pretty good too.

Have you been to see the GW shark yet? I have it on good authority that
this one is doing very well. But attendance is 2x normal meaning weekends
are jam packed this month. I am thinking of a mid week visit to see what's
    happening.
