Thanks! This report is kind of clean, and light (not 'lite'!). I don't mean clean as in lack of encounters, I mean more like simple, and without baggage. Just like a smaller bike is like that, and allows one to concentrate on the experience instead of the hassles.
I've lurked a lot on your reports, but mainly because I'm only reading them well after the fact, and most everything worthwhile (and some things not worthwhile) have been said.
Add my name to the list of those with a place for you to stay, in Madison, WI. We've done 'tent space' travelers before. My wife finds it interesting. She rides as well, and has since 1983.
