    The rear fender in the picture is not a DRZ400S fender, but is a DR650 fender. The E and the S appear to share the same rear fender. Not sure if the DR650 fender will fit on an E/S.

    Occam's razor = it's a DR650.

    With a bit of luck they'll find him lying in the dirt nearby his crashed DR. His lower legs mostly gone like he's trodden on a land mine. When they reach him, he'll grasp the rescuers shirt front and pull them close so they can hear him croak out his last words.
