Atch! It looks I may have messed up with languages. Which is the default language you use? Does it change if you set to english?

Hey! Thank you for answering! I have English (United Kingdom) as my default language in Firefox (my main browser) and Spanish (Spain) in Chrome. Changed the languages but still have the issue.
Which info could I give you to help you solve this?

@Coronelcortez I believe I found what the problem was for Spanish - can you retry? (pls. force reload page/clean cache). I don't think that issue would have impacted English UK but perhaps that is ok as well now.

Glad to hear that! There was a dummy error in a check to detect language, and it was looking for non-existent translations.

Many thanks for reporting the issue!

Actually, Mappite displays just in English and Italian - I should better advertize how one could help on translating mappite to other languages, it's just a text file to edit.

Hey, I could make the translation to Spanish, and maybe French (a friend could help me with this one).
Shoot me a PM if you like the idea!

@gspeed : I've recently discovered 'mappite' and found it smoothens out my routing issues marvellously and provides an excellent balance between 'time' and 'distance'. Thank You !!

Sorry about this but I'm not the most hip tech guy. I registered but I'm not sure what to do with the code. Where do I enter it?

Your website is exactly what I need. I'm using Chrome on a Macbook Pro. So far so good. Thank you.

@duggram click on the cloud icon in the bottom left panel - there you can enter email/code.

I should add a note to the welcome email!

I inadvertantly deleted a route. It was saved in the cloud, but now it no longer shows up in my list. How can I retrieve the route?

@Mo Mentum - unfortunately once you delete a route there is not a way to recover it. Anyway, if you opened the route on another device, it may still show up there until a cache refresh occour.

Noob question here. Is there some way to backup a route to a thumb drive? Even if you saved it to your device then backed it up from there, that would seem like a good solution. Thanks for all of the help and being here. When I get my virus check I'll try to remember to make a donation.

Our would be better to be able to back it up to cloud storage like Google drive or OneDrive or Box.

Yep, if I got it correctly, there are two ways to do that:

    1. You can export a route to a file in gpx format, and import it back whenever you need it

    2. Just copy the browser url (or create a short link) and archive it somewhere. The link embeds all data mappite needs to recreate the route

Just came across a link to mappite and played with it on a Mac and iPhone.
Wow! Very impressed by the simplicity and ease of use with your program. Transferring GPX tracks to my Zumo XT was seamless using the Garmin drive app.

I’m going to familiarize myself and map some upcoming routes, but I think I may have found the perfect route planner for the XT.
    Thanks !

@ADVer thanks for the feedback! Glad to know that, it will likely be my next GPS device as well.

I've just bought a Zumo XT, and while reading a lot about it here on advrider i stumbled across Mappite - and that just seems like an easy-to-use routeplanner - and very quick to use. I really like it. Is it possible to transfer files directly to Garmin Drive from a mac or pc? Or do i need some cloud drive and my iphone to get the gpx file to my GPS?

I save the GPX on my MacBook to a folder that I have accessible via iCloud on my iPhone under files. Open the GPX using Drive and you’re good.
