    What are currently the best maps (garmin compatible) maps for Morocco?

    Previously people recommended olaf's but they are 8 years old and don't work with basecamp. They only work with Mapsource and a windows computer (it's an exe file).

    Also does anyone have any good tracks for Morocco, in particular on plateu de rekkem?

    Cheers

    You can get an garmin image from openstreetmap (osm.org) over Morocco and there find website where to download.

    I do not know if it is the best but good enought and updated as time pass on. And it is for free... :clap

    Could never get on with Basecamp, so I run Mapsource on a Macbook Air using Parallels Desktop. This allows you to run Windows apps in a window on the Mac desktop.

    Maybe Iam late but for maps try alternativaslibres.com or .org Iam not sure. You can find there worldwide maps for free. Another web for Morocco is islandolaf.com but alternativaslibres is much better. You have maps for Windows, Mac or Direct to gps all explained how to do it. If you don't understand send me a mail and I will try to help you because is in spanish. You will need basecamp or map source to work with it and is only for Garmin.
    I have TRAVEL lots of time to Morocco, I have some tracks too so don't hesitate to contact if any doubt

    Reviving an old thread: I found that there are great street maps of Morocco available for Locus and, presumably, several of the other smartphone navigation apps. Not very many tracks or POIs for good hotels, etc., however.

    Planning a Morocco trip in April 2020. The basic list of "Must Visit" places is fairly easy to determine but I would appreciate if anyone has more specific data they can share here. I will try to record my travels and any noteworthy spots along the way for sharing later.

    @slartidbartfast:
    How is your planning for Morocco? Are you going offroad? - After a partial offroad trip in 2017, I'll be there on a round trip in May 2020 from Tangiers - however, this time we are on standard road tyres - still trying to go close to the Sahara region.

    There's six of us going in early April. All on Enfield Himalayas'. Not planning any off-road but we might see the odd bit of gravel. I'm going to be 2-up so taking it easy. Route still TBD but probably loop down through Marrakesh, Dades Gorge and out to one of the Saharan oases amongst other spots. Might post a ride report.

    Still seeking input on places we "must visit" or should probably avoid.

    Hey lads. I'll be in morocco on the 18th of April on a 2000 miles offroad trip.
    Insurance. Have looked through the treads. But nothing to new. What are you guys doing with insurance? Adrian flux quoted me 300£ for 3rd party for 15 days. Want to see if something better or cheaper.
    Cheers!
