Ahh yes I remember that day vividly.

The splendid scenery, the trees, the repeated picking up of motorcycles in the mud and ice. The Jack ass of a minivan driver that said the road was clear :eek1 (I am still looking for that A-hole)

Is there anybody that is able to swing by DSM8's place to pick up some wood for a group campfire on their way to PSR? If I wasn't heading due south to pick up another rider and his bike I would. I may just bring a bundle or two of some store bought wood.

I have wood here in Ridgecrest if somebody wants to stop by and pick it up.

If I get my new tire installed in time , I will ride out on Saturday morning.

As of now, I'm going to stop at DSM8's Friday morning, he is not out of the way to DV. Sito, let me know if you get all of it or if another truck is needed. You can never have too much fire wood!

    Sito,

If we can lets arrange to load it on your truck that way on the actual day of travel no-one has to go out of their way to stop and start once they are on the road.

Give me a call and lets arrange a time, I will do what ever works for you.

    PM you with the info.

Just got this info. Hunter Mountain Rd is closed, while South Pass is open only to 4x4 vehicles.

I guess my Friday plan is screwed!

The weekend's weather forecast for higher elevations including Panamint is in the mid 60s, nice!. Furnace Creek will be in the mid 80's.

We hope to visit the group Fri or Sat night and maybe join in on the Sat ride. Camp is a Chev 3500 + <st1:metricconverter ProductID="19’">19’</st1:metricconverter> Nash TT and bikes are a 525EXC & CRF 230, all with WA plates. Wave if you see us! h8chains, if you are quoting park info it may be impassible but they aren't shy about putting signs up. I'm not sure I would take their road reports as the last word. The park tends to be on the conservative side. Maybe someone will have some recon info before then.
