Auction ex-police car, mocked up as an RCMP cruiser, fake uniform, 1 dead female officer, another officer in hospital, multiple burned buildings, 2 burned RCMP cruisers, over 10 confirmed innocent victims so far... scenes still being processed in over 7 different small communities. shooter taken out by police 14hrs after it all started...... total death count not yet confirmed as of 18:00hrs today. Friends of ours lost their nephew and his wife in this rampage last night, no details, just police notification.....I've been told a few things from SIRT members of other areas that are up to speed, and it is beyond fucking horrifying... fucking surreal. No words.....as if the world wasn't fucked up enough right now.... last night shift tonight... at 05:00 there will be RUM, and I will probably cry for a bit. Senseless.

I have been watching this most of the day today. What a terrible loss in such a peaceful part of Canada.

I can not grasp what would provoke this. I wish you peace.

    Constable Heidi Stevenson.

Heidi and I grew up in a small rural area in NS about 1 km apart. She was a year behind me in our little elementary school. She was a nice girl and we all were proud when we heard she made the RCMP after college. I last saw her at a University pub not long before she joined the force (mid 90s).

Thank you Heidi for your service.

Sitting here lost for words, so many unanswered questions, which really doesn't matter when there are so many innocent fucking victims.

    Tragic beyond words.

In about a decade or so, we will start investing heavily into Mental Health diagnosis, intervention, housing and treatment ... fully recognizing the cost and toll benefit it offers to our society. At least that is my deep and sincere hope. And yes I will willingly pay more in taxes.

Somewhere this deranged killer was alarming someone and if only there was somewhere meaningful to take those observations... then maybe this could be prevented at least some or a fair bit of the time.

    Tragic.

Was a tense day yesterday when i woke up to the news the hospital my youngest daughter works at was in locked down.. she messaged me to say that a woman she works with at the hospital lost both mother and father in-law earlier on in the rampage. That news was immediately followed by the picture and ID of the mock police car being sought . The hub of the carnage was among-st the villages and homes of my immediate family... we were trying to communicate the where-abouts of the monster to loved ones the best we could , with the sightings that were being reported.

I bike in the Colchester county back country every season.... and stop in to visit family before heading back home... I just cannot fathom the acts that unfolded there... its like a horror movie that crept out of its container .

My condolences to the ...oh ...so many ...that are grieving today. ..

Unfortunately, death toll is above 20, and will most likely go higher. A lot of people still being found. Still going thru burned out homes and he used a mocked up police car to pull people over and execute them...
