It's been almost 20 years since I promised myself that I'd move back to Alaska someday. Someday is now. I'll be treking home on March 1st and I'm leaving a great group behind (SDAR) :freaky . I'm looking for a new group to ride with.

Does anyone in the Mat-Su Valley get together regular for rides?

KTMRad says I need to find GusGus, Friar Mike, KL5A, and Legion when I arrive. Guess I'd better go read the post on "how to install tire studs".

    Thanks,
    Jim

If so, don't believe a word he says.....nobody ever rides around here!

Sheesh, and all this time I thought KTMrad was serious when he said he rode moose and griz in the Arctic with you guys! Mannnn, I'm so disappointed!

Yes, I do believe he used to be Senor Elephant900 or somethin' similar.

As for me, I've got my fingers in a few pots. Have big shoulders and a good pair of gloves, so who knows. 1st thing is to knock out that honey-do list that mama has.....makes Santa's list look tame.

Looking forward to riding asap upon arrival, so I'll be in touch. Likely PM a few of you for future rides.

Thanks for the cheery warm welcome and I'll send your (dis)regards to KTMrad! :puke1

Seems like 100 years ago when I posted this. Little did I know what I had stepped into. Who knew Alaska was such a haven of motorcyclists!!!

Thank you, Alaska. From the bottom of my heart.

Recently found this posting while looking for off road, dual sporting groups in the Mat-Su area. We're moving there (Plamer,-Wasilla ares) in Dec. I assume there must be endless trails, roads, trecks and people who would not mind having a new guy around? I did part of the Demster in '14, and Tuktoyaktuk in 18, WABDR 15, IDBDR 16, and ORBDR '18.
